In the morning, your private driver and your tour guide will meet you and pick you up at your hotel.
You will then start the tour by visiting the Tomb of Akbar the Great, located in Sikandra, in the West part of Agra. As its name indicates, this beautiful monument welcomes the tomb of one of the most powerful Mughal Emperors, Akbar. You will definitely be amazed by the architecture and craftsmanship used to build this beautiful monument, which got constructed by his son Jahangir in the early 17th century.
You will then head to one of the most unnoticed monuments of the city: the Roman-Catholic cemetery of Agra, which welcomes the tomb of John Hessing, a Dutch officer who served in the Marathas armies in the late 18th century. The design of his tomb will probably remind you of another monument, far more famous, located a few miles further...!
You will then have some time to lunch and enjoy some typical Mughlai food and on the way, you will have the opportunity to visit one of Agra's colorful markets.
During the afternoon, you will visit Chini ka Rauza, the first building solely decorated by glazed tile work, and its peaceful surrounding garden.
Last but not least, your last stop will be the breathtaking Mehtab Bagh, a wonderfully well maintained garden complex on the other side of the Yamuna River. Enjoy a breathtaking view on one of the world's seven wonders during sunset. Beautiful memories guaranteed.
Your tour guide and driver will then drop you off back to your hotel and the tour will end there.
