Osian Desert Safari Camp is located in the heart of the Thar desert near the ancient and picturesque desert town of the Osian on the Jodhpur - Jaisalmer Highway.
Osian was a great trading center on the silk route from the 8th to 12th century AD. It is famous for its intricately carved Hindu and Jain temples dating back to the 8th century. The Majestic Sachiya Mata temple and the Jain temple along with the ruins of hindu temples that date back to the 8th century and are world famous for their carvings and architectural grandeur put them next to Khajuraho and Bhubaneswar temples giving it a nickname "Khajuraho of Rajasthan".
