Waterfalls impart a unique majesty and mystery, and Mauritius boasts several for you to discover. The Hidden Waterfalls tour gives you access to some of our most idyllic cascades. During this approximately five-hour tour, you can gaze at, snap photos of, or take a dip in four iconic waterfalls in the island’s southwestern region. You may also enjoy a peaceful lunch at Le Chamarel Restaurant if you wish. Our licensed, insured private chauffeurs are available to navigate between stops, leaving you to enjoy a stress-free day.
Follow the path of several watercourses from their aboveground emergence points high in the central plateau all the way down to the southern coast. Tamarin Falls is set back in the hills and features seven falls side-by-side in a lush, mountainous jungle setting. Ascend a switchback road through Black River Gorges National Park to reach the pristine Alexandra Falls. Then journey to Chamarel Waterfall, one of the tallest in the country. Finally, swim up close to Rochester Falls for a closer look at its unusual rock formations.
Beat hunger and the afternoon heat at Le Restaurant Chamarel. It’s set on a mountaintop with panoramic views of the entire Southwest. The staff will be happy to serve you carefully prepared, traditional Mauritian food while you take in the view from the shady dining room. When you’ve had your fill of sustenance and scenery, your driver will be waiting to return you safely to your pick-up point. As a bonus, we'll take you to the Gris Gris - a wild south beach area with a secret waterfall and a natural pool.

Review: If you’re a nature lover and want to get off the beaten track and away from the usual tourist traps, I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Each waterfall has its own route to discovery; each one features something unique and memorable. Our driver carried us safely through some scenic but winding hillside routes to each place. I’m not sure I would have felt comfortable doing this on my own, especially as they drive on the opposite side of the road here. Chamarel Restaurant was the perfect choice to complement this morning of air, water, and greens. This activity actually left me feeling revitalized and more ready to enjoy the rest of my vacation. -Amber
