Ride a quad bike on the off-the-beaten paths of Reykjavík’s outback and experience panoramic views across the city and bay area from the peak of Hafrafell and Úlfarsfell Mountains.
Take a scenic quad bike ride in the outback area of Reykjavik and be rewarded with a million-dollar view of the city. Have fun on a complete ATV experience, combining gravel roads, mountain tracks, rocky paths, and a steep ascent.
Be picked up from your accommodation in Reykjavik and relax on the scenic drive through the Icelandic wilderness to the base camp. Begin your adventure from the base camp, where you will start the ride on a gravel road along beautiful Lake Hafravatn.
Head up a mountain trail to the top of Reykjavik Peak Mountain. Once you stand there, enjoy great views over the whole Reykjavík area and the surrounding mountain range.
After your first hour on the ATV, feel more confident and head to Úlfarsfell Mountain, the view over Reykjavik from the summit is even more stunning. On a clear day, be able to see Snæfellsjökull Glacier, hundreds of kilometers away.

• Remember to bring your drivers license and a good pair of shoes
• The total tour time is 3-3.5 hours, with 2 hours of ATV driving
• You can swap drivers to share the experience if both participants have a valid driver's license
• All drivers must be 17 years of age to drive the ATV and hold a full valid driver license. (motorcycle or permit licenses is not enough to operate the ATVS - in that case you must be a passenger)
• Pickup starts 30 minutes prior to departure time and you need to be ready at the pickup location at 09:00 AM
• Weight limit is 220kg/485lbs per person as a solo driver. The combined weight per ATV/buggy is 220kg/485 lbs (for double rider)
Since most hotels in central Reykjavik are at a no-pickup zone by the city, go to www.busstop.is and choose your bus stop you want to be picked from and let the activity provider know. Pickup starts 30 minutes prior to departure time, so at 9:00 (if the tour starts at 9:30), at 13:00 (if the tour starts at 13:30).
