Learn about Hungarian history during a guided tour along the Danube Bend. Explore the towns of Esztergom, Visegrád, Szentendre and enjoy a short visit to Slovakia. Return to Budapest by boat in the summer.
Journey through Hungary's history, experience a unique section of the River Danube, commonly referred to as the ”Danube Bend”. Start off by seeing the city of Esztergom from another perspective during a photo stop in Slovakia. Then head out in the comfort of an air-conditioned bus and enjoy the remarkable city of Esztergom, home to the largest Catholic church in the country.
In addition to experiencing a great view of river valley, you will also have time to enjoy a 3-course lunch in the city of Visegrád. Afterwards, you will continue on to the magical artist’s village of Szentendre, where your guide will show you the downtown area with its cobblestone streets.
At the end of the tour, return to Budapest either by boat during the spring-summer season (from 15th May to 15th September) or by bus during the autumn-winter season (from 15th September to 15th May). In case of extremely low water level on the River Danube, the return to Budapest will be by bus as well.
