After getting off the ship, reach the top of Fira by cable car to meet your escort and begin your private shore excursion tour. The escort will have a suggested itinerary for you, however you may change the schedule as you wish.
For your first stop, the guide will suggest a trip to Prophet Elias Mountain, the highest point in Santorini. There, you will have a panoramic view of the island as well as the Prophet Elias Monastery.
Next, head to the Akrotiri Excavations, the so-called Prehistoric Pompei or Lost Atlantis, an important Minoan Bronze Age settlement of the Aegean which was destroyed by a huge eruption during 17th century BC. The settlement was buried under the volcanic ash, which has preserved the whole city in perfect conditions.
Next you can have a short photo stop at the famous volcanic Red Beach, well known for its unique sand color and soaring red lava cliffs which drop right to the sandy shore into the clear blue sea.
Then drive to Oia with a short stop at a winery along the way. At the winery, you will have the opportunity to taste local products, including the famous Visanto wine.
Move on to the Blue Dome church in Firostefani, known for its wonderful views of the volcano. Enjoy some time in Oia village where you can grab a drink, some snacks, or buy some souvenirs for your friends.
Finally, arrive at the northern tip of Oia and enjoy sightseeing, grab some lunch, or shop for some souvenirs. Return to Fira where you will take the cable car back down to the old port.

• Due to the fact that the port is not deep enough to hold large cruise ships, the ship will dock near the volcano and then you'll be transported to either Athinios port or the Old port via boat
• Athinios Port is 20 minutes from Fira whereas the Old port is right below Fira, which can then be accessed easily by cable car or donkey (cable car recommended)
