After departure at the main train station in würzburg the river main will be passed on the way through the "ochsenfurter gau" towards weikersheim. On the way back to würzburg there is the possibilty to leave the bus at the residence in würzburg (unesco world heritage). Here the elaborately decorated church (hofkirche) and the baroque court garden can be visited. Here is also the official starting an end point of the romantic road.
Good to know: At the entrance to the court garden is a typcical franconian beer garden, where regional food and franconian beer and wine will be served.
