This tour is for everyone who wants to get to know Düsseldorf away from the well-known sights. The tour follows the small river Düssel through the city to the old town and the Rhine.
This tour is only available in German.

A small river called Düssel gives its name to the city of Düsseldorf. Although Düsseldorf is located on the big Rhine.

But where does the Düssel flow anyway? Mostly underground and mostly invisible, because Düsseldorf was simply built over it.

We follow the southern Düssel and explore Düsseldorf's city history all the way to the old town.

This tour starts at the Volksgarten S-Bahn station and traces the course of the Düssel on its last 5 km before it flows into the Rhine.

Along the way we discover historic buildings, beautiful views, many works of art and are often out in the countryside. There is even an observatory and several kites.
