Finland's forests are packed with wild foods, bursting with the sweet aroma of fresh berries as spring turns to summer. Whether you're seeking to savor the organic flavors of these natural delights or indulge in the traditional Finnish culture of berry picking, this intimate wilderness experience is not to be missed.

On this guided tour from Helsinki, we will explore the serene mossy forests of Liesjärvi National Park. While looking for berries, we may fill our baskets with Finnish superfoods such as blueberries, lingonberries and, with some extra luck, some sweet wild strawberries. These superfoods are rich in vitamins and nutrients and sweeter than any berry you could buy from the stores!

Upon arrival at the national park, we'll embark on a delightful walk through the forest to some of the best berry picking spots. With our knowledgeable guide by your side, you'll learn about the edible berries and gain insights into the surrounding wildlife and forest.

While picking the wild berries, we'll head over to the cozy lakeside campfire. When your guide prepares a delicious traditional Finnish-style lunch and coffee, you'll have plenty of time to snap photos, savor the berries, socialize, and immerse yourself in the peaceful ambiance of the Taiga forest.

After lunch we will continue to explore the natural beauty of Liesjärvi while making our way back to the starting point. The day will be complete with your stomach full of berries and you will be fully charged from this wonderful nature experience.

In total you will spend approximately 4.5hours in the national park and the hike is relaxed and easygoing. You will return back to Helsinki at 4 P.M. Please note that, on some occasions, arrival times may vary slightly.
