Set off to explore the countryside south of Cebu with this fantastic experience. After being picked up from your hotel, drive through Cebu’s coastal towns en route to Carcar, approximately 25 miles south of Cebu.
Your first stop will be at a Gothic-inspired, 16th century church in San Fernando. After a brief visit to the church, set off once more for Carcar and visit Theotokos shrine. Set amongst beautiful hillsides, it is dedicated to Our Lady Mother of God.
After arriving in Carcar, catch a glimpse of rural life and experience the day-to-day activities of shoemaking, gourmet cooking, woodcarving and basket weaving. Take a “carabao” (water buffalo) ride and enjoy a ride on a tricycle to a colorful market. Learn how to weave a bamboo basket and enjoy the thrill of drinking fresh coconut wine. Afterwards, visit a beautiful ancestral home, before savouring a delicious lunch at a local open-air grill in Carcar.
