This tour from Quito to Cotopaxi National Park is an adventure that you cannot miss with a guided walk along the park's trails to appreciate the Andean flora and fauna.
Join us on an adventure to Cotopaxi from Quito, considered one of the highest and most active in the country.
Our day begins with your pick-up from your hotel in Quito in a comfortable vehicle and during the trip your guide will see beautiful Andean and cultural landscapes. As we approach the volcano, you will be able to admire the impressive panorama and if we are lucky we will be able to observe some endemic animals. Our first stop will be at the Cotopaxi Interpretation Center, where you will learn about the geological formation of the volcano, its biodiversity, and cultural importance to local indigenous communities.

We will continue our journey until we reach the parking lot, from where we will begin a walk towards the José Rivas refuge, located at an approximate altitude of 4,800 m and when we descend we will take a walk around the Limpiopungo lagoon. Here you will have the opportunity to observe birds such as Andean ducks and, on clear days, enjoy a panoramic view of the Cotopaxi volcano reflecting in the calm waters of the lagoon.
After enjoying the views and taking memorable photographs, we will have a traditional Ecuadorian lunch, prepared with fresh ingredients from the region and finally, we will return to Quito.
