Fritos: all kind of deep-fried snacks made with yucca, corn flour, green plantain, and lots of cheese. And arepa de huevo (Arepa with egg): arepa is one of the most traditional Colombian plates. Eaten almost everywhere in the country in lots of different versions. In the Caribbean coast this corn-based tortilla is usually fried and stuffed with a tasty egg.
You will also visit local food stands to taste and learn about the history of these flavors and the different influences that have made them special and unique. Once the day gets warmer, stop and try fresh drinks and cold appetizers made with their typical fruits and sweets. In the end, you will be driven back to your hotel.
