Situated approximately 1.5 hours away from Medellín, near the border of Guatapé and El Peñol, this colossal monolith stands over 200 meters (650 feet) tall, making it an unmistakable landmark visible from afar.
Your journey includes the opportunity to ascend to the summit of La Piedra, where you can leisurely soak in the panoramic 360° views of the stunning lake and its surrounding landscapes. At the summit's small platform, you can also purchase refreshments and souvenirs from local vendors.
