Start your day with a typical snack at one of the most famouse restaurants in Medellin, known for their delicious empanadas and pasteles de pollo. Then, drive to the town of Venecia towards the east side, where Cerro Tusa is located. Park at a local farm and take a moment to warm up and get ready for your adventure.
Take a pleasant 30- 45 minute walk (1 km) along natural paths that will lead you to the base of Cerro Tusa, where the real challenge begins. The ascent to Cerro Tusa is level 5 (on a scale of 1 to 5) with a 45°-70° inclination the whole way up.
Sometimes you will have to use your hands and feet to get through some sections, grabbing roots, trees, and rocks to help you go up. Use closed shoes with very good grip, and maybe a hiking stick (if not, we'll find one on the path), lots of concentration, and physical resistance.
Reach the summit and take in the incredible 360° views. After conquering Cerro Tusa's summit, feeling the satisfaction that one could feel after a challenging work is done, have a well-deserved lunch at the town of Venice.
After, start heading back to Medellin.
