Spend 8 days in Beijing and Chengde, with round-trip transport included. Enjoy wonders of Chengde and visit top attractions including the Puning Temple and the Imperial Summer Resort.
After an airport transfer to your Beijing hotel on the first day, day two starts at 9:00 am by visiting amazing city highlights of Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Watch an amazing golden mask show in the evening. Start day 3 at 9:00am and visit Juyongguan, part of Great Wall, then experience beautiful summer palace in the afternoon. On day 4 you'll take the Huanghuacheng Great wall hiking tour. After taking the Mutianyu Great Wall hiking tour on day 5, you will drive to Chengde and check in there around evening time.
Day 6 and it's off to the Mountain Resort, built over 89 years from 1703. The sightseeing takes about 2 hours. The palace is surrounded by a wall over 10 kilometers long, meandering along the mountain ridges. It is the largest and best-preserved imperial palace outside of the capital Beijing.
Day 7 begins with a visit top Putuo Zongcheng Temple, also called Little Potala Palace. It was built in 1767. The Puning Temple holds the world's tallest wooden sculpture of the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (22.28-meter high ), hence often nicknamed the Big Buddha Temple. After lunch, you will drive back to the hotel before returning to Beijing on the final day of the tour.
