The archipelago together with the splendid colonial town of Paraty have recently been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and it is enough to spend a single day in these places to understand the reason. After reaching the island with a 'fast boat' (journey time about 20 minutes), you can organise your day as you wish, choosing to take a walk to get to know the beaches closest to Abraão and thenr to go on a small guided tour through the lush tropical forest or viceversa. In the afternoon you will then take the 'fast boat' back to the mainland and then, by private transport, to Rio de Janeiro.
