Following a pick-up from your hotel, transfer to the Urca neighborhood to take the cable car up the mountain. Before you ascend for the start of your hike, take a 30-minute walk around one of Rio’s most popular districts.
Then, get a safety briefing on how to use the hiking and rock climbing equipment before your start your ascent of the mountain. Enjoy a 3-hour trek through the lush woods of Urca, including a short section of rock climbing.
Once you reach the summit, take in the views of Corcovado, Copacabana, and the beaches of Niteroi. Hear about the local history from your guide. Then, descend by cable car to Morro da Urca. Walk from Morro da Urca to the cable car station at the base of the mountain, where a transfer vehicle will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
