Explore the salt flats of Uyuni, learn about Bolivia's salt production, and witness an incredible sunset on this full-day experience.
We start with pick-up service from hotels, hostels, from central area (around Plaza San Francisco). Tiwanaku is located approximately two hours away from La Paz.
We begin with a visit to the Tiwanaku Museum, showcasing the cultural legacy of the Tiwanaku Empire from 3000 B.C. to 1180 A.C. Following this, we explore the UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site, featuring the Semi-underground Temple of Kalasasaya, the iconic Puerta del Sol honoring Pachacutec, the Puerta de la Luna dedicated to the moon goddess Killa, the imposing Akapana Pyramid, and notable monoliths such as Bennett, Fraile, and Ponce. After the site visit, we’ll enjoy lunch in the main town before returning to La Paz.

The itinerary may change without prior notice due to seasonal floods
Pickup is available from your accommodation in Uyuni and from the bus or train stations, if you are arriving on the day of the tour. If your bus/train arrives earlier, we will pick you up and you can wait in our office until the start of the tour. If you are already in Uyuni, pickup will be between 10:30 - 10:45 AM. Please wait in the lobby of your accommodation.
