Explore the Salar de Uyuni and the Bolivian Altiplano on a 3-day tour from Uyuni. Visit the Train Cemetery, the Colchani Salt Processing Plant, and the Incahuasi Island. See the Laguna Colorada and the Sol de Mañana Geysers.
Day 1:
Start your tour by visiting the Train Cemetery, where you can see ancient steam locomotives from the coal era. Continue to the town of Colchani, where you can see the salt processing plant, local crafts, and the Salt Museum.
Enter the Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat, and see the salt mounds, salt extraction, salt eyes, the White Beach Salt Hotel, and the Incahuasi Island. Admire the giant cacti, coral stones, and the salt hotel. Continue to the town of San Juan for an overnight stay in a salt hostel.
Day 2:
Depart at 8:30 AM and visit the Salar de Chiguana, the Ollague Volcano viewpoint, and the high-altitude lagoons of Cañapa, Chiarcota, and Turquiri. See flamingos, vicuñas, and other animals.
Visit the Siloli Desert and see the Stone Tree, a rock formation created by erosion. Arrive at the Laguna Colorada, where you can see a large number of wild animals, including flamingos and vicuñas. Spend the night in a hostel in Huayllajara.
Day 3:
Depart at 5:00 AM and visit the Sol de Mañana Geysers, located at an altitude of 4,900 meters. See the fumaroles and boiling lava at a temperature of 90°C. Relax in the Polques thermal pools and see the Dali Desert.
Visit the Green and White Lagoons at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Arrive at the Hito Cajon border crossing at 10:30 AM and take a bus or van to San Pedro de Atacama, where your tour ends at 1:00 PM.
