From Puno: exploring La Paz and Tiwanaku , Full Day

Enjoy an exciting adventure from Puno to La Paz and explore the impressive ruins of Tiwanaku. Immerse yourself in the cultural richness and marvel at the amazing landscapes.
La Paz, Bolivia's Andean jewel, dazzles with its impressive altitude and unique combination of tradition and modernity. Stroll through its vibrant streets, enjoy its rich culture and admire the majestic peaks of the Andes that surround this exceptional city.

Itinerary:

We will start very early in the morning, picking participants up at their hotel around 4:00 am.
From there, we will start our journey to the border between Peru and Bolivia, located in Desaguadero.
After approximately 4 hours drive, we will arrive in La Paz and take a guided tour of the colonial quarter, the 16 de Julio avenue and the Mariscal Gamarra avenue.
We will continue our visit in the historical centre, where we will admire the Cathedral Señora de la Paz and the Plaza Murillo.
You will have free time for lunch on your own.
After the break, we will visit the Convent of Santo Domingo and the Witches Market.
We will end our stay in La Paz by taking a bus to the archaeological site of Tiwanaku, home to one of Bolivia's most outstanding pre-Columbian cultures. We will visit the temple of Kalasasaya, the pyramid of Akapana and the Gate of the Sun, and we will also admire the ceremonial vessels and the walls adorned with huaco-portraits.
At the end of the visit, you will have a comprehensive vision of the cultural and patrimonial richness of Bolivia.

With all the experiences lived during the day, we will return to Peru, and we will be in Puno between 14:00 and 15:00 hrs.
