Embark on a captivating journey from Puno to La Paz, exploring the ancient archaeological city of Tiwanaku. Admire the breathtaking landscapes that unite two worlds.
Itinerario:
Iniciaremos muy temprano, con tu recogida en el hotel alrededor de las 4:00 a.m.
From there, we will head towards the border between Peru and Bolivia at Desaguadero, where we will cross into Bolivia and continue our journey to La Paz.
After approximately 4 hours of travel, we will arrive at our destination and begin a guided tour of the charming colonial quarter, Avenida 16 de Julio and Avenida Mariscal Gamarra.
We will continue exploring the historic center, where we will have the opportunity to admire the imposing Neoclassical Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace, located near Murillo Square.
We will enjoy some free time for lunch at your leisure.
After the break, we will visit the Santo Domingo Convent and the well-known Witches Market.
Our next stop will be the archaeological site of Tiwanaku, where we will explore the secrets of one of the most outstanding pre-Columbian cultures of Bolivia. We will visit emblematic sites such as the temple of Kalasasaya, the Akapana pyramid and the famous Sun Gate. In addition, you will have the opportunity to observe the queros or ceremonial vessels, as well as the walls decorated with human figures known as huaco-portraits.
At the end of our visit, you will have gained a deeper understanding of Bolivia's rich culture and heritage.
After a day full of emotions, we will return to Peru by bus and be back in Puno between 14:00 and 15:00.
