We will rent a professional bike for you in the city center. During the 2-hours tour, you will cycle past the Stadtpfarrkirche church to the lovely 17th-century Old Cathedral and then through Linz main square, the Hauptplatz. The guide will point out all the interesting landmarks here such as the Old Town Hall, Neptune Fountain and the Holy Trinity Column. Then you will cycle towards Linz Castle, passing by the narrow streets featuring stylish white and pastel houses.
At the Castle Park, you can take a short break to admire the beautiful views across the Danube River. You will pass by the old Martinsor stone gate and get to the Landhausplatz. You will cycle through the Landhaus inner passage to admire this historic government building from both sides. Then you will see the monolithic Mariendom, also known as the New Cathedral, followed by the Ursuline Church of St Michael.
You will then follow a safe, not crowded route through some lesser known parts of Linz. You will explore the residential areas, passing by local schools and parks. Enjoy the way the city combines its historic architecture with modern buildings and urban nature. You will see the modern Design Center as well as the stunning 19th-century building of the Francisco Carolinum art museum. Finally, you will return your bike to the rental shop.
Choose the 4-hours version to get even more out of your bike tour. This route includes cycling from Linz main square across the Danube River to see the futuristic glass building of Ars Electronica Center. You will then cycle to the Castle Park, Landhaus, New Cathedral and the Ursuline Church of St Michael, followed by the Barenberg Park where you will see the Aphrodite Temple. Then, in the Bergschlößl Park you will enjoy the relaxing urban nature and see the lovely baroque-style Bergschlössl castle. You will then cycle by the Design Center and the Francisco Carolinum and end the exciting tour at the bike rental shop.
