Fly with the birds and soak in breath-taking panoramic views of the tropical coastline from rainforest to reef. Your flight can be tailored just for you – opt for some exhilarating aerobatics or simply enjoy gliding peacefully through the air. After 20mins of flying, land gracefully back on the beach, a soft and gentle return to earth after your sky-high adventure.
Location:
Wangetti Beach, at the end of Wangetti Beach Road, a 2 minute drive from Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures and Rex Lookout, a 30 minute drive from Port Douglas, and a 40 minute drive from Cairns. Car parking is available.
Transport:
Optional free return transfers from Cairns City, Palm Cove and Trinity Beach are available for passengers (if required). Two timing options are available depending on tandem flight times.
• Morning Pick-Up: Suitable for tandem flights at 12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm. Departing Cairns City @ 10:45am, Trinity Beach @ 11:10am, Palm Cove @ 11:20am. Return departure from Wangetti Beach will be around 3pm.
• Afternoon Pick-Up: Suitable for tandem flights at 2:30pm, 3pm, 3:30pm, 4pm, 4:30pm. Departing Cairns City 1:15pm, Trinity Beach @ 1:40pm, Palm Cove @ 1:50pm. Return departure from Wangetti Beach will be around 5:30pm.
Booking is required. Please call High Adventure on 1300 610 145 at least 48hrs prior to your tandem flight to book your return transfers (if needed).
Timing:
Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled flight time. We recommend allowing at least 60 - 90mins from your scheduled booking time to allow for documentation, pre-flight briefing, possible weather-related delays and actual flying time.
Availability:
Tandem flights are available between June and September. Flights are available daily, typically between 12pm and 5pm.

Tandem flights are weather dependent so there may be delays or changes to your flight if weather conditions are unsuitable for flying. We kindly ask for your patience, understanding and flexibility should this situation arise – the weather is out of our control and your safety is our top priority.

• Basic fitness and good general health are required for safety. Passengers are required to walk up to 300m along the beach (3-5mins) to get to the launch area. Then on take-off, passengers are required to walk briskly for approximately 4 - 5 steps.
• All passengers must sign a Sports Aviation Federation of Australia (SAFA) insurance waiver. Passengers under age 18 must have a parent/guardian to sign the insurance waiver on their behalf. Refusing to complete the waiver will result in cancellation of the flight and no refund will be given.
• If you need to cancel or reschedule your flight, at least 24 hours’ notice is required, otherwise your payment will be forfeited.
• If we cannot fly due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we will reschedule your flight free of charge.
