Enjoy pick-up from your hotel by your guide in the morning and then start your day in the Old Town. Experience a walk through the narrow alleys of Panama's Old Town, a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Start your walking tour at the Plaza de Catedral and walk to the San José church, which exhibits a golden altar. Afterwards, wander through the colonial streets to the ruins of the Dominican Monastery and the Arco Chato, which is connected to the Panama Canal.

Continue to the Plaza de Francia, which used to be part of the city walls, and the Paseo de las Bovedas, which is situated by the sea and offers a magnificent panoramic view overlooking the Panama Canal. See the Puente de las Américas, the Biomuseo and the skyline of modern Panama. Next on the itinerary are the National Theater, the Parque Bolivar, the San Felipe Nerí church and the Church of the Mercedarian Order, the Iglesia de la Merced.

Around noon, visit the fish market, where you can see the hustle and bustle of the market traders and a rich variety of fish and seafood. Enjoy a lunch of fish or seafood in a local restaurant.

After lunch, walk off your meal along the Cerro Ancon. Take the bus to this panoramic mountain, covered with rainforest, and enjoy a marvelous view of Panama's Old Town and the Panama Canal.

In the afternoon, drive to the Miraflores locks of the Panama Canal and watch the huge container and cruise ships on their journey. Visit the locks exactly when the ships from Gatun Lake arrive at the Miraflores locks and are being lowered to the level of the Pacific.
