Embark on this well-organized and guided 12-day private China tour, including domestic flights and a cruise. Experience the ancient culture of China and the breath taking splendour of its landmarks.
Day 1: Arrive In Beijing (No Meals)
Meet your tour guide at the airport upon your arrival in Beijing and transfer to the hotel provided.
Day 2: Beijing (L)
Start your morning with a visit to Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City. In the afternoon, your guide will bring you to the silk museum and Summer Palace for a short while.
Day 3: Beijing (L)
Head out to visit the Jade factory and Juyongguan Great Wall and later in the day visit the Sacred Way.
Day 4: Beijing (L)
Your first excursion of the day will be to the Temple of Heaven. In the afternoon, explore the incredible Capital Museum.
Day 5: Beijing-Xi'an (L)
Take a Hutong tour by rickshaw first, where you can see what ancient life was like in Beijing. Enjoy lunch with a local family and next you are transferred to the airport for a flight to Xi'an.
Day 6: Xi'an (L)
Take a day trip to China's most important archaeological site of Terracotta Warriors and the Great Mosque.
Day 7: Xi'an-Chongqing (B, L, D)
Visit the City Wall and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in the morning. Take an afternoon flight to Chongqing and spend your evening cruising down the Yangtze. Spend the night on either the five-star Victoria cruise ship or Victoria Lianna.
Day 8: Cruise (B, L, D)
Sail on the Yangtze River through Xiling Gorge to either Fengdu or Wanxian.
Day 9: Cruise (B, L, D)
Sail through the Qutang and Wu Gorge to head on an excursion to either the Daning River or Shennong Stream.
Day 10: Yichang-Shanghai (B, L, D)
Arrive in Yichang come morning time. Next pay a visit to the Three Gorges Dam Project where you will learn about the largest water conservancy project ever taken. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai afterwards.
Day 11: Shanghai (B, L, D)
Enjoy a morning tour to Shanghai YuYuan Garden, then explore the Pearl Gallery and Jade Buddha Temple in the afternoon.
Day 12: Departure From Shanghai (No meals)
Your driver will transfer you to the airport for your departure.
• Attention: Due to the strict rules of the Forbidden City in Beijing, only a limited number of tourists are allowed to visit the Forbidden City each day, and tickets are only available seven days in advance.
Note: Tickets to the Forbidden City are tight all year round, once we failed to book the Forbidden City tickets, we will visit Jingshan Park on the south side of the Forbidden City, instead of the Forbidden City, standing at the top of the hill in Jingshan Park, you can still see the entire layout of the Forbidden City and the building structures.
