The cities of Salzburg and Berchtesgaden are perfect places to experience the unique Krampus Christmas celebrations. On this 2-night trip with two nights accommodation, enjoy guided tours, visits to Christmas markets, and more.
Krampus originates from centuries of Pagan festivals and is by far the most unique Christmas celebration ever. Get the opportunity to experience Krampus parades, Krampus lairs, and the historical celebrations associated with it.
To start the trip, take off from Munich to Salzburg where we spend the day wandering the streets, making apple strudel, and enjoying the Krampus festivities. That evening we check into our centrally located hotel in Berchtesgaden. The next day it is a salt mine tour, schnapps factory tour, and Krampus parades in the city center of Berchtesgaden.
Later that evening enjoy a reserved table at the Hofbräu brewery in Berchtesgaden.
The next day, have breakfast and go on a morning walk at the Konigsee Lake and bobsled track before making your way back to Munich for drop off by 14:00.
