The itinerary
Day 1: Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Mua Cave
07:25 – 08:00: Our friendly guide will pick you up for the journey to Ninh Binh, with pickup times depends on your location in Hanoi's Old Quarter or Opera House.
09:15: Enjoy a brief 15-20 minute break to relax.
10:15: Explore Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital from 968 to 1010, and learn about the feudal system under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties. Cycle through the village to experience local life.
12:00: Savor a buffet lunch at Ninh Binh Excursion Restaurant, featuring a variety of local dishes like goat meat, spring rolls, fish, and vegetarian options.
13:30: Take a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride in Tam Coc, where you’ll be captivated by the stunning landscapes of paddy fields, rivers, and caves, often referred to as “Ha Long Bay on land.”
15:30: Return to the Limousine Bus and head to Mua Cave (Dragon Peak). Climb nearly 500 steps to reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain for breathtaking views of Tam Coc and enjoy the fresh air by the nearby lotus fields, especially lovely in summer.
17:00: Check in bungalow/hotel and enjoy some leisure time, with access to the swimming pool in summer.
19:00: Have dinner at bungalow/hotel and take an evening stroll around Tam Coc before resting for the night.
Day 2: Bich Dong Pagoda, Thai Vi Temple – Thung Nham Bird Valley
Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel/bungalow and prepare for the day ahead.
09:00: Meet your guide for a cycling tour to Thai Vi Temple and Bich Dong Pagoda, known as the second most beautiful cave in Vietnam.
11:30: Check out and have lunch at a local restaurant, offering a range of dishes including goat meat, fish, and vegetarian options.
14:00: Continue to Thung Nham Bird Valley. Board a small sampan to explore Hang But (Buddhist Cave), famous for its stunning stalactites and stalagmites, as well as a Buddha-shaped formation beside an underground river and a tropical fruit orchard.
In the afternoon, quietly paddle through Thung Chim (Thung Nham) to witness over 4,000 birds from 40 species, perfect for photography and connecting with nature.
16:00: Depart for Hanoi.
18:30: Arrive back at your hotel in Hanoi.
