Meet your private tour guide at the hotel lobby and travel to A Luoi District on 49 National Highway by private car. On the way, catch a glimpse of the beautiful countryside where the Co Tu and Ta Oi ethnic minorities live.
Upon arrival in A Luoi, the car will follow a small road to reach Hamburger Hill, the site of a tumultuous battle in May 1969 between US forces and the North Vietnamese Army over a 900m-high mountain.
From the mountain foot, embark on a sight-seeing trek passing through the forest to reach to the top. Enjoy a view over the valley, the old airport, and the landscapes surrounding the hill.
Trek back and have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit a village of Ta Oi ethnic minority featuring long houses on stilts, each of which shelters a few families of one clan. Walk through the village to have a real insight into the local people's way of life from traditional houses, costumes to handicrafts and culinary specialties.
