At 7:30 a.m., our warm and friendly tour guides will greet you at your conveniently located hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. From there, embark on an exciting day trip to Can Gio, affectionately known as Monkey Island.
Upon arrival, our first adventure takes us into the lush mangrove forest, home to over 1,000 lively monkeys. Prepare for a delightful experience as these playful creatures may climb onto your shoulders, offering incredible photo opportunities. Feel free to feed them and enjoy their company in this natural paradise.
Next, we’ll take a short walk to the crocodile conservation area, where you can witness some of the remaining giants from the American War era. For those seeking a thrill, try your hand at "Crocodile fishing," an optional but exhilarating activity that offers a unique glimpse into local life.
After that we'll board a fast motorboat to journey deep into the forest, arriving at the historic Sac Guerilla Camp. This significant site provides an eye-opening look into Vietnam's wartime history, offering powerful insights into the struggles faced by both soldiers and civilians.
Refuel with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor traditional Vietnamese cuisine in a charming setting. Following lunch, dive into the vibrant atmosphere of a bustling fish market, where fresh catches like octopus, lobster, and ray are on display, along with an array of dried seafood delicacies. Can Gio Resort, adjacent to the market, invites you to unwind with a refreshing swim or a leisurely stroll along the nearby beach.
As the day draws to a close, we’ll depart from Can Gio and head back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving around 5:30 p.m. As you return, reflect on the day’s adventures, enriched with new knowledge of the region’s wildlife, history, and culinary delights.
