Discover the beauty of Mai Chau Valley on a 2-day adventure from Hanoi. Explore the local culture and traditions of the Thai people, and enjoy a bike ride through the peaceful villages of the valley.
Day 1:
Start your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Hanoi and head to Mai Chau Valley. On the way, see the living space of the local Muong and Thai people, interwoven between the valley and the mountains.
Stop at the top of Thung Khe Pass to admire the panorama of Mai Chau Valley. Visit a temporary local market selling products of the Muong ethnic people at the top of the pass.
Enjoy a traditional lunch and then go on a bike ride with your guide. See farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves, and visit surrounding peaceful villages. Enjoy free time for cycling, walking, and shopping.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner and watch a Thai traditional dance show. Try the local wine "ruou can" (only available for groups of more than 5 people).
Day 2:
Start the day with breakfast and then cycle with a local Thai guide for 2 kilometers before starting a trek to visit more remote rural villages: Na Meo, Na Mo, and Xam Pa. See the rice terraces and understand more about their culture and customs.
Return to the homestay, check out, and go for lunch. Enjoy free time for shopping and relaxing before getting on the van/bus to drive back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi Old Quarter and get dropped off at your hotel.
