The tour includes six delicious bites, such as sweet treats, a Vietnamese sandwich, tacos, and more. While you won't be eating cheesesteaks, you'll learn about their hidden history and discover multigenerational family businesses. Additionally, you'll receive a cheat sheet with recommendations for bars, restaurants, and other fun activities in the city. Over the course of 2.5 hours, you'll walk a little less than 2 miles, making it a leisurely yet enriching experience. Vegetarian and pescatarian options are available with advance notice, and dietary restrictions can be accommodated.

Your journey begins at The Singing Fountain, a neighborhood gathering spot on Passyunk Avenue. Here, you'll meet the group and visit a Jewish bakery, delve into the history of the Philly cheesesteak, and explore Philly's culture of public art. Next, you'll head to Washington Avenue, once home to industrial warehouses and now a hub for some of the city's best restaurants. Visit a legendary Vietnamese bakery and a longstanding Mexican restaurant known for its tacos.

The final stop is the Italian Market, one of the longest continually operating outdoor markets in the United States. Here, you'll hear stories of local businesses, visit a fourth-generation Italian bakery, and a new-school Jewish appetizing store. You'll also have some time to shop in the market before ending the tour with a glass of wine from a limited-edition series made with support from one of the Italian Market's oldest businesses.

The tour concludes at the Italian Market, leaving you in a central location perfect for further exploration of South Philadelphia.
