Wonderland: Curious Nature (May 18–October 27, 2024)

Embark on an extraordinary adventure as "Wonderland: Curious Nature" transforms our gardens into a fantastical world inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Immerse yourself in mind-bending horticultural displays, whimsical art installations, and vibrant flowers that create a dreamscape like no other. Wander through enchanting settings, partake in fantastical tea parties, and keep an eye out for the Cheshire Cat's elusive grin. This magical journey awaits, offering an unforgettable blend of nature and imagination.

During the fall, step into a world of stunning color (and a plethora of pumpkins!) as NYBG celebrates the season of frights and foliage. Then come back in winter for the Holiday Train Show, the Garden’s beloved tradition that invites you to explore over 190 landmark buildings made from natural materials. In spring, the Orchid Show brings thousands of these iconic flowers to the Haupt Conservatory in a celebration of color and design—and in summer, you’ll find can’t-miss art exhibitions unlike anything else. There’s always something new to see and explore at NYBG!

The New York Botanical Garden is just 20 minutes from Grand Central Terminal by train. Take the Metro North Harlem Line from Grand Central to the Botanical Garden stop; tickets can be purchased using the MTA eTix app or at Grand Central.

• Most of the garden consists of outdoor spaces. The 250 acres are open in all weather conditions, and a visit can include extensive walking, so be sure to dress accordingly
• Indoor spaces, with the exception of restrooms, are applicable to state regulations
•Manual wheelchairs are available to borrow free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis at the Leon Levy Visitor Center and Mosholu Entrance
• The Botanical Garden, its buildings, and its tour vehicles are mostly accessible but due to the garden’s naturally varied topography, portions of the historic landscape may be inaccessible

The main entrance is located at NYBG Leon Levy Visitor Center, 2900 Southern Blvd., Bronx, NY 10458. By Metro-North Railroad: From Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan, take the Metro-North Harlem local line to Botanical Garden Station. Cross Southern Boulevard to the Garden's Mosholu Gate entrance. By New York City Subway: Take the B, D or 4 train to Bedford Park Blvd. Station. Exit the station and take the Bx26 bus east to the Garden's Mosholu Gate entrance. Alternatively, walk 8 blocks down the hill on Bedford Park Blvd., turn left onto Southern Blvd. and walk 1 block to the Mosholu Gate entrance.
