Every wizard must have a wand, and you must be sure that yours is the right one for you.
Discover the magic of Edinburgh at Gladstone’s Land, a surviving 17th-century high-tenement house in the Old Town, restored by the National Trust for Scotland. Originally built in 1550, this six-story building was redeveloped in 1617 by merchant Thomas Gledstanes. Its prominent position on the Royal Mile reflects the affluence of its past, offering a fascinating glimpse into Edinburgh’s history, for a private interactive workshop where you’ll learn to create your own wand.
Our Wand Master will help you select your wood and your wand core, carve your protective runes in the handle, sculpt the shape of your wand and paint it before launching your first spell! During this DIY activity for both children and adults, enjoy soft home-made cakes and magical teas, and let yourself be carried away by the magic.
