Embark on a 3-day safari to Murchison Falls National Park from Kampala. Track rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, go on a game drive, and take a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, En-route Rhino Tracking in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After being picked up from your hotel in Kampala, head to Murchison Falls National Park. On the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the rhinoceros. Afterward, enjoy lunch and continue to the park. If time allows, visit the top of Murchison Falls.
Check in to your lodge and explore the park at night. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Early Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise Upstream to the Bottom of the Falls
Start the day with an early breakfast at your lodge before setting off on a game drive. Look out for savannah game such as giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Jackson's hartebeests, warthogs, oribi, and if you're lucky, lions, leopards, hyenas, and jackals.
Return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on a boat cruise that will take you upstream to the bottom of the falls. See schools of hippos, crocodiles basking on the sand, birds, and other animals like elephants and giraffes coming to drink water.
The highlight of the boat trip is to view the Murchison Falls from the bottom side. Return to the lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive, Top of Murchison Falls
After an early breakfast, go on another game drive to search for more game animals that you might have missed on your first drive. Visit the top of Murchison Falls in case you missed the visit on the first day.
Drive to exit the park and head back to Kampala with a lunch break along the way. Reach Kampala city early in the evening and be dropped off at your hotel.
