Start the day with a visit to the Great Mosque of Kairouan, the first in the Maghreb, which was founded in 670 AD and rebuilt in 836 AD. Learn how it served as a model for other mosques in the Muslim West, all the way up to Andalusia.

Next, visit the Aghlabid Basins, the Barbier Mosque, or Sidi Sahbi Mausoleum. Marvel at the beautiful minarets.

Afterward, visit the Roman Colosseum, which was founded in the 3rd century AD and classified as a World Heritage site in 1972.
