Embark on a day hike to Mandara Hut on Mount Kilimanjaro. Experience the beauty of the mountain without committing to a full climb. Enjoy the accessible hike and a taste of Kilimanjaro’s diverse ecosystems, beautiful rainforest scenery, and a glimpse of mountain trekking.
Start your adventure with a drive from Moshi Town to the Marangu Gate. At the gate, complete park formalities before starting your hike. Begin your climb with a 3-4 hour walk to the Mandara encampment.
Along the way, take in the views of the diverse ecosystems and beautiful rainforest scenery. Stop for lunch at the Mandara Hut or at a picnic site on the way to Mandara. After lunch, continue your hike to the Mandara Hut.
Once you have thoroughly enjoyed the views, return to the Marangu Gate. On your return journey, enjoy the sunset and the day‘s memories.
