12 Days Wildlife Adventure & Wellness Safari

Summary

This yoga holiday includes 10 yoga sessions, typically one-morning Ashtanga Mysore drop-in class (90 minutes) and one afternoon Vinyasa drop-in-led yoga class (75 minutes) every day, twice a day. There are two exceptions- Sundays and arrival day/ departure day. You will also receive a 60-minute massage at the Bali Spa.

This yoga safari will take you to different beautiful locations to view wildlife, with multiple drives included. At the end of the safari, you will have a chance to relax in paradise on Zanzibar Island. In addition to the yoga classes, you will receive full board meals during your stay.

Your experience will include a classic African safari (Tanzania has more wild animals per square kilometer than any other country in Africa). Being immersed in iconic parks such as the Serengeti alone can heal and reconnect our minds and bodies.
Program

Day 1: Arrival and sunset yoga

Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to Rivertrees Country Inn before embarking on a safari the next day. Once an old coffee estate, Rivertrees is now a charming country inn nestled amidst lush greenery with the Usa River flowing by. Breakfasts are an unforgettable experience here. This shall be experienced by those who arrive in the morning.

For those of you arriving by late morning, our company representative shall pick you up from Kilimanjaro airport at midday and take you to join the rest of the group before the safari orientation, immediately after officially welcoming you to Africa (Tanzania) before transferring you to your lodge in Moshi area. After lunch, you shall proceed to the Kilimanjaro mountain trekking starting point where you shall embark on a relaxing evening yoga before returning to your lodge for an overnight stay.
Accommodation: Blue Flamingo or Rivertrees Country Inn.

Day 2: Tarangire

After an early breakfast, we drive towards Tarangire National Park. This park is stunning and has a wide range of animal life including endless herds of elephants. The Tarangire river, winding through and a landscape dotted with spectacular Baobab trees only add to its beauty. You embark on an evening game drive to explore Tarangire before a relaxing spa/massage in the evening.

Day 3: Tarangire the whole day.

After waking up, you start the day with an early morning yoga before a lush breakfast and embark on a relaxed morning game drive within Tarangire, we head for the lush, cool, and peaceful countryside of Karatu. There will be opportunities for genuine cultural interaction, nature walks, and visits to coffee plantations. On this day, we will sleep at Gilala Hai 360 in the evening.

Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro

You shall have an early morning yoga session that takes about 60 minutes before embarking on a delicious breakfast, check out, and embark on a transfer drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at Sanctuary Ngorongoro Camp late afternoon.

Overnight at Sanctuary Ngorongoro which is set in a delightful ancient acacia forest on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater and offers superb accommodation in spacious canvas tents ensuring intimacy in a pristine forest environment. The camp is located right on the crater rim valley close to the access road into the crater giving guests unrivaled access to the crater floor.

Day 5: Wildlife adventure + yoga In Ngorongoro

Wake up early for continental breakfast before driving to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a whole morning game drive. The crater is one of the best places in Tanzania to see all the "Big 5" animals and is one of the world's most astounding and renowned natural wonders. After lunch, drive to your lodge for relaxation before embarking on an afternoon game drive and evening yoga.

Note: Apart from the game drives as outlined above, you will enjoy four yoga sessions during the holiday.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti

The whole morning game drive in Ngorongoro. After breakfast, check out and drive to the Serengeti area. You check in your lodge before embarking on a drive to the lush Serengeti Balloon safari experience, where you get to encounter the Serengeti wildlife in the afternoon from the air. Embark from the exciting experience and return to your lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 7: Full day in Serengeti

Today, you will have a wake-up sunrise yoga followed by a lush breakfast. Immediately, we will depart for the Serengeti unforgettable game drive. Driving from south to north, you'll begin to grasp the sheer magnitude and magnificence of this park.

Wildlife thrives in every corner, and you will see antelopes, giraffes, zebra, elephants, lion pride, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, jackals, kudus, spotted hyenas, and much more.

You have the opportunity to enjoy a bush lunch with a glass of champagne before proceeding for a late afternoon drive or visit the local Maasai people for a magnificent cultural encounter. You later return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 8-11: Zanzibar beach life + yoga

Transfer to Serengeti Seronera airstrip for your direct flight to Zanzibar. You will have five full days to enjoy this island paradise. We will stay at Mbili Villas in the south, near the village of Jambiani.

During your stay in Zanzibar, you are exposed to a lifetime experience carefully designed to take you away from your routine and into your dream holiday. Your days in Zanzibar will be packed with love for your body, mind, and soul

Day 12: Transfer back home.

Everything good thing must come to an end. On the same note, we are sad to see you go but, we are sure you had the very best retreat you expected.

But wait, we still have our last yoga before we leave for a departure drive to the Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your flight back home.
