Tanzania: 7-Day Serengeti Wildebeest Migration (July-Oct)

The Great Migration is a remarkable annual event characterized by an endless march of life, birth, and death for millions of animals. It is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World.
Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro – Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport. A Kilele Climb representative will pick you up from the airport and take you to your accommodation in Moshi/Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park.
Pick up at 7:00 AM from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. Tanzania’s third-largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Drive to the Lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park to central National park
After breakfast, you will travel via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti and at midday, you will reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park. This park is the largest in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscape-short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, and lakes. A bizarre rock formation called kopjes dots the grassy landscape where predators are often seen. You will overnight at a lodge/campsite located in central Serengeti in the Seronera Area.

Day 4-central Serengeti to North Serengeti (Kogatende Area)
You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for game drives around 9:00 A.m. with a packed lunch or depart at 6:00 A.m. on an early morning game drive. Later, return to the accommodation for breakfast and depart to North Serengeti with packed lunch. After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Depending on the time of your arrival, you will be able to get a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 5: North Serengeti to central Serengeti
You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for game drivers around 9:00 Am with packed lunch or you can depart at 6:00 Am on an early morning game drive. later return to the accommodation for breakfast and relax for a bit and depart to central Serengeti with packed lunch. Today you will head south toward central Serengeti. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and good night’s rest in your Accommodation.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater.
After breakfast, morning game drives at Serengeti National Park. On your outward journey to the park gate, you will enjoy some more game viewing before you leave the Serengeti National Park in the early afternoon to continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight. You will overnight at the lodge located on the ridge of the Ngorongoro rim.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha.
On the last day of your safari, you will have an early start. Finishing up with a quick breakfast, you will make an early descent at around 6:30 am into the crater floor. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, this is the time you say goodbye to your safari crew.
Meals plan Breakfast and lunch. As today is the end of the safari, please note that Accommodation and dinner tonight are not included in the tour.
