Day 0: Arrival at JRO to Moshi
Upon arrival at JRO, you will be met by the team and transferred to your accommodation. Use this day to rest, meet your guides, and prepare for the trek ahead.

Day 1: Arusha to Lemosho Gate – Mti Mkubwa Camp
Drive from Arusha to Lemosho Gate for registration. Begin your trek through lush rainforests, encountering diverse plant and animal life. Arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp for your first night on the mountain.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
Trek from Mti Mkubwa Camp through the rainforest and into the moorland zone. Enjoy spectacular views of Kilimanjaro and the surrounding landscapes as you reach Shira 1 Camp.

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp
Hike from Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp, traversing the Shira Plateau with its unique vegetation and panoramic views. This day is crucial for acclimatization and preparing for higher altitudes.

Day 4: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp
Ascend through the high moorland to the Barranco Camp. Experience the stunning landscape of the Barranco Wall, a dramatic feature of the trek. This day includes significant altitude gain and acclimatization.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Trek from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp, crossing the Barranco Wall and navigating rocky terrain. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the alpine desert and get acclimatized for the final ascent.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Hike from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your final summit attempt. Prepare for the ascent by resting and ensuring your gear is ready.

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak – Descend to Mweka Camp
Start your summit attempt around midnight. The climb is challenging but rewarding with breathtaking views at Uhuru Peak. Descend to Mweka Camp, where you’ll rest and celebrate your achievement.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate – Departure
Descend from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate. At the gate, receive your summit certificates and transfer back to Arusha for a celebratory hot shower and a relaxing evening.
