This 8-day itinerary will take you on an unforgettable journey through Tanzania, combining the thrill of conquering Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, with the beauty and relaxation of Zanzibar, a tropical island paradise.

Days 1-2: Zanzibar

Day 1: Arrive in Zanzibar and transfer to your hotel in Stone Town, the historic capital of the island. Spend the day exploring the narrow streets, bustling markets, and ancient architecture of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Old Fort, the Palace Museum, and the House of Wonders.
Day 2: In the morning, take a boat trip to Prison Island, a former prison that is now a popular tourist destination. In the afternoon, relax on the beach, go for a swim, or take a boat trip to one of the many nearby islands.
Days 3-8: Kilimanjaro (Marangu Gate)

Day 3: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to your hotel in Moshi. In the afternoon, meet with your Kilimanjaro guide for a pre-climb briefing.
Day 4: Embark on your Kilimanjaro trek, starting with the ascent from Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut (2,700 meters/8,858 feet) through the montane rainforest. Enjoy the gradual climb and stunning scenery.
Day 5: Continue your ascent from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,700 meters/12,139 feet), passing through more montane rainforest and experiencing the effects of altitude.
Day 6: Take an acclimatization day at Horombo Hut, allowing your body to adjust to the higher altitude. You can opt for an optional hike to Mawenzi Hut (4,600 meters/15,092 feet) for breathtaking views of the mountain.
Day 7: Ascend from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,700 meters/15,417 feet), facing steeper inclines and thinner air. Prepare for the challenging summit attempt ahead.
Day 8: Begin your summit attempt to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters/19,341 feet) in the early morning hours. Experience the exhilarating climb and the incredible views from the summit, the highest point in Africa. Descend to Kibo Hut and then to Horombo Hut for the night.
