Discover the unique flavours of local food and learn about traditional ways of life. You will visit a local vegetable market, negotiate prices and learn to cook different typical Tanzanian dishes.
Dive deep into Tanzanian cuisine with this hands on experience led by the Kingstone Asilia Family. We'll collect you from town (if you've told us you'd like this extra service) and take you straight to the local fresh food market where we'll select the best vegetables and ingredients for our meal.
Next, on to the Kingstone Asilia Family Farm on the green, peaceful outskirts of Arusha. Here in our wooden nature hideaway built overlooking the farm grounds, we'll teach you the traditional methods for preparing ingredients, and cooking typical Tanzanian dishes. You'll have the chance to express any dietary requirements or food preference before our tour begins so we can tailor the dishes to your tastes, whilst also ensuring you get the best local experience. And finally, you'll have the reward of eating your delicious home-prepared meal, and we'll exchange stories of our cultures and different life experiences.

You can find us on google, or take a bus to Kambi Ya Chupa Madukani, and tell any motorbike driver from there to take you to Kingstone. Alternatively, we offer pickup and dropoff from town for $15 (45,000tsh) total. Let us know if you'd like this service, or pick-up from Kambi Ya Chupa.
