Escape from the busy city Seoul and visit Andong, a city known for its well kept traditional Korean culture and UNESCO sites. Explore Andong Hahoe Folk Village, Buyongdae Cliff, and Hwacheon Seowon.
Enjoy a pickup from your hotel in downtown Seoul and start your guided trip to Andong. See one of the most traditional villages in Korea where the locals kept Korean style housings and lifestyles very well. There are UNESCO World Heritage sites and villages with ancient features of Korea.
Start from Buyongdae Cliff, a cliff about 64 meters high situated where the Taebaek Mountain Range ends. Take in the view of Hahoe Village with traditional housings at the summit. You will also visit Hwacheon Seowon, the place was built in 1786 to hold the tablet of Ryu Un-ryong, the brother of Ryu Seong-ryong who is a renowned scholar and official from the Joseon Dynasty.
Savor Andong salted mackerel (Gan-godeungeo) for lunch (optional) and head to one of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, Hahoe Folk Village. Hahoe Folk Village is well-known for its traditional house and the village's beautiful Korean style sites even impressed Queen Elizabeth of England when she visited.
