From Kandy: Nuwara Eliya Day Tour with Private Transfers

Be picked up from your hotel in Kandy and head to the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, Ramboda. According to the ancient stories, Ramboda is a area, where the forces of Rama's gather to fight against King Ravana.

Next, visit the Ramboda Waterfall, where rivers, as they flow over uneven ground or down mountains, often split into tributaries or form waterfalls. Sometimes two tributaries of the same river may form twin waterfalls very close to each other as the water spills down cliffs and rocks.

Continue to the Bluefield Tea Gardens, situated at approximately 1200 m above Sea Level in the town of Ramboda. Surrounded by a quiet and scenic environment, the gardens are a great place to take a break.

Next, head to the heart of the tea country hill city, Nuwara Eliya, to visit Lake Gregory. Constructed during the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873, the lake and the surrounding area make up the Gregory Lake Area.

Finally, stroll through Victoria Park, a public park located in Nuwara Eliya, next to the Nuwara Eliya Post Office. Originally the park was the research field of Hakgala Botanical Garden. The park was formally named in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.
