08.30 am: Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the wonders of Yala National Park as you embark on a customized safari jeep experience. As the most renowned wildlife sanctuary in Sri Lanka and the second-largest, Yala National Park boasts a diverse range of wild animals. However, it is the majestic leopard population that captivates visitors the most. With 32 species of mammals and 125 species of birds, including migratory ones, the park offers a rich and vibrant ecosystem. Spotting leopards can be a thrilling challenge due to their nocturnal nature, but Yala is known for its high density of up to 35 leopards. The park is also home to a significant elephant herd, further enhancing its allure. Yala provides refuge for many other mammal species, including endangered ones such as the Sri Lankan Elephant, Sri Lankan Leopard, Sri Lankan Sloth Bear, and Wild Water Buffalo.
