In this package we offer you two tour options
01. Morning or Afternoon Safari with a visit to Elephant Transit Home
02. Full day Safari with 3 Game drives
01. What happens on a typical day on Morning or Afternoon Safari?
A. Pick-up time at 5.15 a.m. - in and around the Hiriketiya/ Tangalle/ Dikwella/ Rekawa/ Nilwella/ Mawella area. All pick up times - (Morning or Full Day Safari - 5.15 a.m./ 5.45 a.m./ Afternoon Safari - 12.30 p.m. if you want to have lunch, else 1.00 p.m.)
Adjust the times in the itinerary according to the pickup time.
B. Get down from the transfer vehicle (Air-conditioned Car or minivan) and get into the safari vehicle - at Udawalawe at around 6.45 a.m.
Here, there's 30 minutes break in Afternoon Safari for you to have lunch.
(You can additionally buy lunch from us - USD 10 Per Person)
C. Wildlife Safari/ Game Drive (7.00 a.m. - 10.00 a.m.)
D. Break at Udawalawe (20-30 minutes)
This will give you time to enjoy your Breakfast

E. Visit the Feeding time of the Elephant Transit Home
You can observe the feeding of the adorable baby elephants at Elephant Transit Home.
(Feeding times are at 10.30 a.m. - morning / 2.30 p.m. - Afternoon)
In the Morning Session, ETH visit comes after the Safari, But in the Afternoon Session the visit comes first and the Safari comes after it. So, adjust the itinerary accordingly.
F. Get down from the Safari Vehicle and get into the transfer vehicle - at Udawalawe at around 11.00 a.m.
G. Optional - If you prefer, take a 20-minutes break Near Rawana-Ella waterfall, on the way to Ella. (Free of charge) If you get down from Wellawaya, you will not see the waterfall.
H. Drop-off time at around 1.00 p.m. - any hotel in and around Ella/ Bandarawela/ Wellawaya area.
02. What happens on a typical day on a Full-day Safari?
A - D. Steps from A to D are same as in the Morning Safari itinerary
E. 2nd Game Drive (10.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.)
F. Lunch Break (12.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m.)

G. 3rd Game Drive (2.00 p.m. up to 6.00 p.m.)
H. Get into the transfer vehicle - at Udawalawe at around 6.00 p.m.
I. Drop-off time at around 8.15 p.m. - any hotel in and around Ella/ Bandarawela/ Wellawaya area.

Please be informed that the entrance fees for the Udawalawe National Park and Elephant Transit Home are not included in this package.
Fees must be paid in cash in Sri Lankan Rupees (There are no facilities at present at the Udawalawe National Park and Elephant Transit Home entrances to make cash payments in foreign currencies)
To run the safari operation financially smoothly, it requires a payment of at least two adults for every booking.
The children aged 5 or below will be given the chance to ride the safari free of charge. Only 50% of the price will be charged for children above 5 and below 12 years old. (Letting the future guardians of the planet Earth take their first steps in experiencing to be aligned with nature)
Children below 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Our driver will pick you up from the hotels in and around the Hiriketiya/ Tangalle/ Dikwella/ Rekawa/ Nilwella/ Mawella areas. Pick up vehicle will be an air-conditioned car or mini van. Pick up times will be (Full-Day Safari - 5.15 a.m./ 5.45 a.m.) The time will be slightly adjusted depending on the location of your hotel and the locations of other guests' hotels who are going to SHARE the safari with you. Sometimes, management of the hotels assign a location within the hotel premises other than the lobby area, for guests to be picked up by the drivers. Please communicate beforehand with the hotel staff and get to know the location, if not, the driver and you will be waiting for each other in two different locations.
