Discover the old capital city of Kandy on a full-day trip from Colombo. Explore the Temple of the Tooth, and then go to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage for elephant feeding and bathing.
Get picked up from your hotel in Colombo and drive to Kandy in an air-conditioned vehicle. Go to your first stop at the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens to see giant palms, orchids, and exotic flora.
Afterward, have some free time for lunch (not included) before continuing to explore the city. Visit to the gold-roofed, UNESCO-listed Temple of the Tooth, a sacred site for Buddhists which houses the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha.
Climb the hill by Kandy Lake to reach a viewpoint that offers spectacular views of the city. Enjoy great views over the lake and the city.
Then, take in the vibrant atmosphere at the bustling Kandy Market. Stroll past stalls selling street food, handicrafts, spices, and more. Enjoy a show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dances.
On the way back to Colombo, stop for dinner at a restaurant (not included). Get dropped off back at your hotel in Colombo at the end of the tour.
