Reaching the Summit (3718m)- the highest point of Spain is a real challenge - starting at about 1-2am by night (depends on sunrise time), this 6-6.5hs hike will test your limits. Distance - 10km long, elevation gain - 1380m.
As dawn approaches, the first rays of sunlight paint the horizon with hues of gold and crimson, casting the longest shadow in the world across the volcanic terrain and endless Atlantic Ocean. It's difficult to say what is more impressive - the sunrise from the peak or the magnificent Teide's Shadow! You have to define it by yourself!
