This palace is located next to the church of San Esteban and was ordered to be built by the Marquis of Tarifa in the fifteenth century, after a trip to Jerusalem he realized that from his house to the temple of the Cruz del Campo was the same distance as between the place where he was told that was the Praetorium of Pilate and Mount Calvary, hence the name of this palace.
The house is an example of Gothic-Mudejar architecture in the city and in its rooms and courtyards we can enjoy sculptures and portrait galleries that decorate its walls as well as a vast example of tile work.
