Day 1: Early Morning Pickup & Transfer
Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your location in Johannesburg. You’ll embark on a scenic drive to Pilanesberg National Park, with travel time being approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
Along the way, you’ll pass through beautiful landscapes as you journey towards the wildlife haven that is Pilanesberg.

Upon arriving at Pilanesberg National Park, you’ll immediately start your 3-hour closed vehicle game drive. This allows you to immerse yourself in the wilderness while staying comfortable in a climate-controlled vehicle.
Your experienced guide will help you spot some of the park’s famous residents, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard) as well as many other animals and birdlife that make the park their home.

After the morning game drive, you will check in at the luxurious Kingdom Resort, located near Sun City.
You’ll have some free time to settle in and freshen up and have lunch (at your own expense).

In the afternoon, you’ll set out for a 3-hour open vehicle game drive, which allows for closer encounters with the wildlife and provides an exhilarating experience as you explore the park in an open safari vehicle.
Your guide will lead you through different terrains in search of more incredible wildlife sightings as the sun begins to set, making for spectacular photographic opportunities.

After your game drive, you’ll return to Kingdom Resort for a well-deserved dinner. The resort offers a variety of dishes, ensuring a satisfying and relaxing meal to cap off your first day of adventure.

Day 2: Sunrise Open Vehicle Game Drive
Your second day starts early with a 3-hour sunrise open vehicle game drive. This is the best time to witness the animals in their natural habitats as the cooler morning temperatures bring out more activity.
Your guide will take you through different areas of the park, increasing your chances of seeing predators and other wildlife that may have eluded you the day before.

After your game drive, you’ll return to Kingdom Resort for a delicious breakfast, giving you a chance to relax and enjoy the surroundings before packing up.
Once breakfast is finished, you’ll check out from the resort, ensuring all your belongings are ready for the journey back to Johannesburg.

Before heading back, you’ll enjoy one last closed vehicle game drive through Pilanesberg. This is a final opportunity to spot any animals you may have missed or to simply take in the natural beauty of the park one more time.

After your final game drive, you’ll be transferred back to Johannesburg, arriving in the late afternoon with incredible memories of your Pilanesberg safari.
