Embark on a 7-day tour from Durban to Cape Town and discover the natural beauty, history, and adventure along South Africa’s southern coast. Visit the Mandela Capture Site, the Mandela Museum, and the Robberg Nature Reserve. Enjoy a wine tasting at Benguela Cove Wine Estate and see the African penguin colony at Betty’s Bay.
Day 1 begins from Durban with stops to tour Howick Falls and the Mandela Capture Site, then travels through scenic Underberg to Mthatha. On Day 2, explore the Mandela Museum in Mthatha and visit Mandela's birthplace, Mvezo, before heading to East London where you can visit the beaches.
On Day 3, lead to a tour of the charming coastal towns of Port Alfred and Port Elizabeth. Day 4 provides a thrill with a stop at Bloukrans Bridge for bungy jumping, the world’s highest at 216m, – own cost, continuing to the stunning Plettenberg Bay.
Day 5 highlights include hiking at the Robberg Nature Reserve, visit the beaches of Plettenberg Bay, visit Knysna Heads, and a sunset cruise on Knysna Lagoon – own cost. Day 6 begins with a safari in Botlierskop Game Reserve, the home of the big 5 and many other animals, then continues to Hermanus, world renowned for whale watching, in season.
Finally, on Day 7, enjoy a wine tasting at Benguela Cove Wine Estate and see the African penguin colony at Betty’s Bay before traveling on the whale coast to reach Cape Town.
